How do I add icons to my links on OneFront?

Updated July 20, 2026

The short answer

To add an icon to a link, open the Links tab, edit the link, and choose an icon for it — OneFront shows the icon next to the link's label on your public page so people can recognize the destination at a glance. Icons are optional and purely visual; they make a busy page scannable without changing how the link works.

A page of identical text links is hard to scan. An icon beside each one gives the eye an anchor — a play triangle reads as "video," a cart reads as "shop," a calendar reads as "book a time" — before anyone reads a single word.

When icons help most

The longer your list, the more icons earn their place. Three links probably don't need them; eight links absolutely do. Match each icon to what the destination actually is so it speeds recognition instead of adding noise. Consistency helps too — if one link has an icon, give the others one so the row reads as a set.

Purely visual, zero downside

An icon is decoration next to the label; it doesn't change the link's URL or how it works. So there's no tradeoff — add them where they make your page easier to scan, skip them where the labels already do the job.

How to add icons to your links, step by step

  1. 1Open the Links tab. Go to Links in your dashboard and pick the link you want to add an icon to.
  2. 2Choose an icon. Set an icon that matches the destination — for example a play symbol for a video or a cart for a shop.
  3. 3Save. Save to show the icon beside the link's label on your public page.

Frequently asked

Are icons required?
No — icons are optional. They help visitors scan a longer list quickly, but a link works the same with or without one.
Do icons change the link's URL?
No. An icon is purely visual decoration next to the label; the destination URL is unchanged.
